ABOUT DR ALISON PAYNE

Dr Alison Payne, Technical Director of Online by Design, is an Information Technology Professional with 20 years experience in the industry, both in Australia and Overseas. She has worked in telecommunications, the airline industry, global pharmaceuticals, consulting, university and commercial research. While a majority of her career has been working with leading edge internet technologies, her focus on customer requirements and appropriate technology solutions for the client’s requirements has seen her be selected as a “Telstra CEO Leader” and be trained as a PricewaterhouseCoopers Project Manager.

One of the biggest positives of this wide ranging experience, is that Alison understands “the big picture” when working in Small and Medium Business, and quickly identifies the relative strengths and weaknesses of particular solutions. Her capacity to analyse a large number of complex inputs about a business problems – technology and otherwise – means that she often suggests a simple solution to what looks like an insurmountable problem - saving the client both time and money in solution implementation.

Alison ensures that her company is skilled in ‘all things web related’, including website coding languages, graphical design, databases, SMS marketing, Online Advertising and Computer Security. Where she doesn’t have the skill herself, she will source and manage appropriate resources from her professional network.

Her experience in large companies and project management means that Alison very capably works with other IT professionals as required.
